Heather Jackson’s military career began long before she even joined the Army.  Several of her family members had enlisted and she loved hearing their stories.  Jackson joined the Army right after HS graduation. For 8 years Heather Jackson served in the United States Army as an enlisted soldier quickly climbing through the ranks with each accelerated promotion.  By the time she made it to her last enlisted duty assignment, she was the first female NCO to lead and run an entire Health Care Clinic on that post.  Based on her exceptional skills as an enlisted soldier and leader, she received numerous commendations and recommendations from four and five star generals in which she was then offered a full scholarship to the U.S. Army’s Green to Gold Program.  Those generals saw the exemplary leadership from Jackson and felt that she would be better serving as an officer.

U.S. Army Enlistment & Officer Career

For 13 years, Heather Jackson served in the United States military.  Her journey began as an enlisted member in the Army.  Over the course of her military career, Jackson took command of numerous roles and positions.  With hard work and unwavering dedication, she eventually became an Officer.  As a Project Manager, she now calls on the fine-tuned managerial and leadership skills that she developed during her days as a U.S. Army Officer.

Although she is now a veteran of the U.S. Army, Heather Jackson’s support for the Armed Forces has not wavered at all.  She continues to support her fellow military members, both active duty and veteran.  In the future, she hopes to volunteer with programs and nonprofit initiatives that advocate for veterans returning to civilian life.  An often overlooked challenge, many people do not realize how difficult this transition can be.  By advocating for her fellow veterans, Jackson hopes to make a true difference in the lives of those struggling through the process.
