The United States Army has officially recognized a new nickname for the men and women of the military branch. Dating back more than a century, the nickname is nothing but new! Heather Jackson shares insight:

The men and women of the US Army have been given many nicknames over the years.  Black Rattlers… Men of Bronze… Heroes.  But now, according to the National Guard, the Army will now accept and recognize a century-old nickname as official: the Harlem Hellfighters.  The name is nothing new at all, stemming from when the enemy referred to the US Army as “Hellfighters.”  This is certainly history in the making, according to former military member, Heather Jackson.
